Privacy Policy

Reflect Daily ("we", "us", "our") is a free habit tracking app built by Brian Greene. This policy covers the Reflect Daily iOS app and this website (reflectdailyhabits.com).
The short version: the iOS app keeps your data on your device and in your personal iCloud — we never see it. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, we don't track you, and the iOS app contains no analytics.
The iOS App
What the app stores
- Habit names you create (e.g. "Exercise", "Read")
- Daily effort ratings (1-10) and the dates you rated them
- The display order of your habits
- Reminder preferences (on/off and time of day)
Where it's stored
Your data is stored in a local database on your device. When you're signed in to iCloud, it also syncs to your private iCloud database, tied to your Apple ID, so it follows you across your Apple devices. That private database belongs to you — we have no ability to read it, access it, or export it. There is no Reflect Daily server holding your habits.
Sign in with Apple
The iOS app uses Sign in with Apple to identify your account on your own device. The identifier Apple provides is stored locally on your device. It is not sent to us or to any third party.
Notifications
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device by the app. There are no push notification servers involved.
Analytics and tracking
None. The iOS app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, collects no usage data, and does not track you across apps or websites.
What the iOS app does NOT collect:
- Location data
- Contacts
- Photos or files
- Health data from HealthKit
- Browsing history
- Advertising identifiers
- Device identifiers used for tracking
Deleting your data
Open Settings > Delete My Data in the app. This permanently removes your habits, ratings, and reminder settings from your device and from your private iCloud database. It cannot be undone. Deleting the app from your device removes the local copy; the iCloud copy remains until you use Delete My Data or manage it through iCloud settings.
This Website and the Legacy Web App
The Reflect Daily web app has been retired in favor of the iOS app. reflectdailyhabits.com is now an informational site about the app:
- Hosting — the site is served by Vercel, which provides basic, aggregate page-view analytics (no personal profiles, no cookies set by us).
- Launch waitlist — if you join the waitlist on this site, we store the email address you enter in a database hosted by Cloudflare. We use it for exactly one thing: a single email when the app launches. We don't share it, and we delete the whole list after that email goes out. To be removed sooner, email reflectdailyhabits@gmail.com.
- Legacy web accounts — if you used the retired web app, the account data you created there (your email address, an Apple user identifier if you used Apple Sign-In, and your habit names, ratings, and reminder preferences) remains stored with Supabase until it is deleted. It is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Deleting a legacy web account — email reflectdailyhabits@gmail.com and we will permanently delete your habits, ratings, reminder settings, and authentication record.
We do not share your data with any other third parties, and we never sell it.
Children's Privacy
Reflect Daily is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data — everything the app knows is visible in the app
- Correct your data — edit or rename habits directly in the app
- Export your data — Settings > Export Ratings CSV or Export Complete Backup (iOS)
- Delete your data — Settings > Delete My Data (iOS), or email us to delete a legacy web account
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may notify you in the app.
